The Crown Chakra

The Crown Chakra

The crown is where our personal energy field becomes one with the universe, where we experience the oneness of all.  Whatever we understood intellectually and then intuitively now becomes complete comprehension.  With the six lower chakras we are able to control and influence whereas when the 7th chakra is open, we let things happen through us.  We’re in the flow, so to speak

Your Energy Tip of the Month: Ever try to think things through looking for an answer but intellectually you weren’t getting it?  But if you let your thoughts go for a couple of hours or overnight, the answer seems to show up effortlessly the next day?  That’s not unusual.  But it does show how often you do rely on your crown chakra for answers, without even knowing you’re doing it.  Imagine the calm you would derive if you were to consciously decide to just let go more often and let the answers to simply come to you.

Week 2: Breath

Assume the posture mentioned last week. Begin by counting to four as you breath in, hold (4), exhale (4), hold (4).  And repeat this process at least 5 times, morning and night.  It can be invigorating or calming depending on your state of mind.

Third Eye Chakra

Third Eye Chakra

The 6th chakra is known as the brow or third eye chakra as it is situated in the middle of the forehead. As you move up the chakras, the vibrations get finer and access to the unknown gets easier. This is where imagination lives. This is where we see without our eyes, and this is why meditation is important.

Ever get a hunch or a gut feeling to do something or to avoid a situation… but ignore the signs and then regret it later?  It’s happened to all of us, we don’t listen to a specific feeling or intuition and we end up paying for it in the end.

Your Energy Tip of the Month: I recommend that you direct your mind to connect with that particular feeling or “intuition” and act on it immediately. For example, don’t feel like going out tonight? To get in the habit of using your intuition ask yourself “Am I just avoiding it, or am I truly feeling like it’s not a good idea?”  Trust and go with the feeling. Don’t reason yourself into doing otherwise.

To access your imagination any time of the day, sit quietly and breathe into nothingness – which means no thoughts and eyes closed to the world. Focus on breathing in and out quietly listening to your heart beating. Let that which you’re imagining show up on its own without you forcing it. Simply breathe in and out in the quiet of your mind. The more you breathe in this way, the more

Chakra Awareness-Throat Chakra

Chakra Awareness-Throat Chakra

The location of this chakra is in the region of the neck and shoulders. Malfunctions to be aware of are sore throats, stiff neck, colds, thyroid problems and hearing problems. On a physical level it is important to be aware of what our body is saying to us at all times. There are many systems communicating to each other non-stop such as the electrical communication between brain waves and muscle tissue, the chemical communication of hormones to cellular tissues and many more. It’s important to listen to your body in order to hear what it’s telling you… especially when you’re not feeling well. Don’t ignore what your body is telling you!

Your Energy Tip of the Month: Listening to your body

Your body is communicating with you even when you’re not aware of it. The wise person pays attention. Every day, scan your body using your mind’s eye. You do this by closing your eyes and imagine an eyeball roaming in your body. Start at the top of your head and slowly move down each and every body part checking for anything out of the ordinary. You might see it, feel or sense it. If you come across a swollen gland, an ache or discomfort, fill it with golden healing light. If there is any real concern do not hesitate to see your doctor.

Chakra Awareness Heart Chakra

Chakra Awareness Heart Chakra

The heart Chakra, is in the 4th chakra where the inside and outside meet, where heaven and earth commune and create relationship. Where duality or opposing force is no longer a fight but a harmonious merging of two forces, allowing each to be enhanced by the other creating new patterns.  The uplifting state of love binds them and keeps the balance between the two opposing forces allowing us to live in harmony.

The heart chakra is the center of love, where the cosmic and the earth energies combine.   This love is different than the love we experience in the second chakra, sexual love, which is object-oriented, filled with passion and often-unmet desires.  At the heart, the fourth chakra, the love is not object dependent. Rather the love we feel is felt toward everything we encounter, because it is felt within as a state of being.  At the heart, our love is no longer one of need or desire.  Having transcended these desires, we feel a deep peace and harmony radiating from within us.

Your Energy Tip For August:

Breathe deeply.  Through yoga or other physical activities be aware of your breath and increase it, deepen it.  Some believe that breath is a gateway between the mind and body. Calm both down while focusing on your breath.

Try this:

The complete breath:

This is as simple as it sounds.  Sit down in any comfortable position and watch the path of your breath, making it as deep and full as possible.  Breathe deep into your belly, then into your chest and finally into your shoulders and throat.  Exhale, reversing the order and repeat several times.

Chakra Awareness: Sacral Chakra

Chakra Awareness: Sacral Chakra

The Sacral Chakra is your passion and pleasure centre and it’s located in the pelvic area.  This chakra is the centre that holds all of your feelings, emotions, pleasure, sexuality, sensuality, intimacy, and connection. It’s also where your ‘inner’ child’s stuck and blocked feelings are stored.
Hence, it is one of the most blocked chakras for most people and it needs prompting to feel comfortable with intimacy such as a hug, a kiss or any form of closeness. The energy needs to be activated and flowing.
We all have an ‘inner’ child. As an adult it’s important to acknowledge and identify these blocked feelings before spontaneously acting like an angry child and lash out. Notice which feelings get triggered most often and the patterns around them.  Be it anger, disappointment or sadness, whatever the negative feeling, ask yourself “What can I do to address this feeling in an adult way?” That is a positive, constructive and healthy way

Your Energy Tips For the month of May:

You can practice being aware of your sacral chakra located three fingers width below your navel, by breathing the colour orange in and out, back to front several times.  Imagine that you can feel the energy flowing in and out of that vital spot.  If you feel some heat, you’ll know you’ve opened the chakra and created energy flow.
